Audi launched the A6 Hybrid last night. It can average 16.1km/L thanks to a
211bhp, 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine and 54bhp electric motor working in tandem. At city speeds its lithium-ion battery lets it glide electrically for about 3km. The battery takes up 155 litres of boot space, leaving 375 litres. The Hybrid costs S$278,150 with COE but get it fast: Its price rises in January when the current Green Vehicle Rebate is replaced by the emissions-based CEVS rebate system.
