World Famous Fighter Pilot M.M. Alam passes away



M. M. Alam, the hero of the 1965 war, passed away after a protracted illness,

here on Monday. A PAF spokesman said in a statement here that the Chief of the Air Staff, on behalf of all ranks of Pakistan Air Force, announced with great grief and sorrow that ‘our national hero, world famous fighter pilot and a legend of the 1965 war, Air Commodore (Retired) Muhammad Mahmood Alam breathed his last this morning in Karachi after a prolonged illness’. He was 78- years- old. ‘Our hero left us to make his final flight to the eternal destination. Personality, character and sacrifices of this brave Pakistani are beyond any word of description’. ‘May Allah grant him eternal peace, Ameen’, the PAF spokesman added.

President condoles death of M. M. Alam
President Asif Ali Zardari expressed profound grief and sorrow over the demise

of  Air Commodore (retd) M.M. Aalam who passed away Monday. The President has paid glowing tributes to his contributions towards defence of the country saying that late M. M. Alam was a source of inspiration who made the people proud through his valour and unmatched bravery in the defense of the motherland. The President prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and for  the courage of the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude.
COAS, CJCSC condole M.M. Alam’s death
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani has expressed his heartfelt condolence on the sad demise of Air Commodore (R) MM Alam, a great hero of the 1965 War, the ISPR said.
General Khalid Shameem Wynne, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), also expressed condolences on the demise of MM Alam.
He applauded MM Alam’s patriotism and sense of devotion towards Pakistan and Pakistan Air Force for which he is an icon to be followed.
