Two defeats in quick succession left Pakistani Born British Boxing legend Amir Khan soulless but
that legend is likely to return to the ring on December 15 against an opponent to be named later. The shattered spirits of Khan were quite visible when Danny Garcia knocked him out on July 14 but it seems his teams efforts have proved fruitful as he is preparing to regain the lost glory.
The British boxer has already mentioned that he wants a rematch with Garcia, but Garcia is reportedly going to fight Mexican legend Erik Morales on October 20 in a rematch. Promoter Richard Schaefer of Golden Boy said they still have to work on determining who Khan’s opponent will be.
Schaefer issued a statement: “We’ll have to see what opportunities are. There are so many exciting match-ups in these weight classes.”
Commenting on Khan’s rematch demand he said, “I would certainly appreciate and understand that Amir is going to want to have a rematch, and I’m sure a rematch is going to happen.”
