but it’s only with his role as Inspector Surjan Singh Shekhawat in his upcoming flick, Talaash, that the Bollywood perfectionist has finally donned the Khaki uniform.
“Aamir is returning to the big screen in a big budget starrer only after 3 Idiots (2009) and this one is sure going to spark fireworks at the box office. Touted to revive the suspense-thriller genre in the industry almost after two decades, the much awaited flick has already been marked by an array of controversies, but only to work in its favour, gaining further anticipation.
Kareena Kapoor’s married name, ‘Kareena Kapoor Khan’ will appear in the opening credits of the film —this will be a first’
Earlier slated to release on June 1, the film was postponed because Aamir was occupied with his TV show, Satyamev Jayate.
Before the official poster came out, a slew of fake posters of the movie were leaked online. There was buzz that Aamir and Kagti had differences over some scenes that he wanted re-shot. There were reports that the advance booking of the flick had started but it turned out a rumour.
Theplot
Shot in Mumbai, Pondicherry and London, the storyline of the film has been kept closely guarded from Day 1 as Aamir is particular about not revealing the plot of his films. However, as per trailers and trade talk, Rani plays his wife, Sunaina, and Kareena plays a prostitute, Rosy. Latest rumours also suggest that there are traces of the Aarushi murder case in the film.
Talaash will also see Gangs of Wasseypur lead Nawazzudin Siddique playing a pivotal role.
