They've got a lot to celebrate after
being called up again for the
U.S. women's national soccer team, and it
looked like Alex Morgan and Sydney Lerouz were doing exactly that on
holiday in Hawaii.
The two athletes hit the beach in home colours, wearing red and blue bikinis that showed off their toned figures.
Laughing and joking, Abby and Sydney proved just why they're two of the most popular players on the USA national squad.
And during their time in the Aloha
state, the two football players have been making the most of the
beautiful landscape by going cliff diving and taking early morning hikes
to witness the sunrise across the colourful horizon.
Documenting
their time on Twitter and Instagram, Alex and Sydney are clearly
letting their hair down too, with Alex tweeting on Friday: 'Beach livin'
@alexmorgan13 #girlsweek #gettingescortedoutofthehotel #butactually
#toomanyhashtags #toomanymaitais'.
Alex, 24, and Sydney, 23, can enjoy
their Mai Tais now, but they'll have to get back on their strict
training and diet regime to be ready for the World Cup in two years.
Rio 2015 will see the
girls playing in the qualifiers next autumn, but first they will join
all-time leading scorer Abby Wambach in a three-team tournament with
Australia and New Zealand later this month.
And
considered the best young offensive weapon in the women's soccer
arsenal, Morgan will no doubt prove her worth in this mini competition.
In 68 appearances for the national
squad, Alex has scored 44 goals, including a goal in the 2011 World Cup
Final and three in the 2012 London Olympics.
Leroux has proven herself a super sub, having scored 14 girls from the
bench, to make a total of 21 goals in 39 national team appearances.
Off
the pitch, Sydney featured in ESPN the Magazine’s Body Issue, while
Morgan became one of the few actual female athletes to appear in the
2012 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in nothing but body paint.
