Netherlands scored a 5-2 win over Pakistan in the first semi-final
of the men’s Champions Trophy field hockey tournament Saturday.
Earlier, Pakistan beat Germany after Shakeel Abbasi scored two goals in a shocking win in the Champions Trophy quarter-final.
Abbasi had told The Express Tribune earlier that he was eagerly waiting for this match.
“I want to score a hat-trick and take Pakistan into the final, also grabbing the man-of-the-match award for the second time in the process. We do have a less experienced forward line compared to the Netherlands but our confidence will more than make up for that.”
