Fearless felix breaks Sound Barrier by hitting mach 1.24 as he jumps from 128,000 feet

  •  Supersonic skydiver Fearless Felix hits mach 1.24 in terrifying plummet to Earth from 128,000ft.
  • 'Fearless Felix' Baumgartner completes astonishing 128,000-foot drop from the top of the stratosphere.
  • Breaks the speed of sound after traveling at mach 1.24.
  • Austrian daredevil had been planning the feat for five years .
  • Previous launches had been delayed due to wind.
  • One tiny error could have resulted in his blood boiling and his brain exploding.
Felix, the Austrian, is the first man in history to break the speed of sound
in a 24-mile (38.6 kilometre)-high jump from a balloon on Sunday, reaching 833.9 mph (1,342 kph) in a free fall that lasted more than 9 minutes.

Landing on his feet in the New Mexico desert, the man known as
"Fearless Felix" lifted his arms in victory to the cheers of jubilant onlookers and friends. After the jump, he simply stated: "When I was standing there on top of the world, you become so humble, you do not think about breaking records anymore, you do not think about gaining scientific data. The only thing you want is to come back alive. Sometimes we have to get really high to see how small we are.”

Whatever, the result is, he has achieved the goal.
