'3440' Tea Bar, Surrounded by fifty 3000-metre peaks of the Pitztal opens in October in Australia

Austria is a land of high mountains and snow covered peaks and now it has a peak
glimmering with a new cafe that is an incredible 10,000ft high and now is the highest in Austria, a perfect spot for high tea.

The dream project will cost £20 million and is due to open in October. It is perched on top of the Pitztal glacier that will be linked to a new ski lift to get holidaymakers up the Wildspitze mountain.
The marketing manager Stefan Richter - who's promised to keep the restaurant's prices more down to earth - explained: 'It's going to be breathtaking with amazing views. It will be called '3440' because it is located 3440 metres up the glacier.'

The new restaurant has unparalleled views of Tyrol's highest mountain, the Wildspitze, and the surrounding fifty 3000-metre peaks of the Pitztal.

The free-floating terrace and panoramic seats behind a wide glass frontage has enough seating for more than 100 people. There is also an outside bar which stays open until the last run of the ski lift.
