Jewel in the Night is the first Original Song "written for and performed on" the International Space Station

This might just be the coolest song recorded! It happened all the way in
outer space courtesy Canadian astronaut recorded the number Jewel in the Night aboard the International Space Station, in December. It's certainly no mean feat. A site reports him as saying, the song is "some of the first original music written for and performed on" the ISS.

A former Canadian Air Force fighter pilot, Hadfield arrived at the ISS on
December 21, aboard a Russian Soyuz rocket. He shared the Soundcloud player and a YouTube video on Twitter, where he has been keeping people updated on his space adventures. He also started was tweeting what he saw outside the windows of the space station and about his daily activities.

Sky News reported how as word got around of his stunning pictures, his Twitter follower count also up. The Canadian tweeted an image of himself being held by Star Trek's Captain James Kirk, William Shatner. And fans of the film series Star Trek, were overjoyed after Captain Kirk of the starship Enterprise (we mean the actor who played him on the iconic sci-fi series), exchanged tweets with Hadfield. On Sunday night, the latter tweeted another photo, in support of the Toronto Maple Leafs hockey team, after a players' strike had been resolved. Here's to more from space from him!
