Amitabh Bachchan, 70, the megastar of Bollywood, and proud granddad of 
Aradhya; daughter of former miss world Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, is equally as popular among seductresses of today as he used to be among the heroines of 40 years ago. His popularity graph has risen many folds when it comes to female fans as he one call has won him many glamorous kisses from the crowd.
Such was the overall consensus at the Max Stardust awards, which was held
over the weekend in the city, where Amitabh Bachchan proved how much in demand he still is, even with the younger generation of Bollywood actresses.
The Angry Young Man, as Amitabh Bachchan was once known, never did used
to kiss his female co-stars on-screen; though who can forget his infamous ‘Jumma Chumma De De’ number with Kimi Katkar in 1991, which saw the man begging for just one kiss from his lady love. Since then, Amitabh has broken his no-kissing rule twice: once in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Black’ (2005) and then again in Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Nishabd’ (2007).
However, in a slightly mischievous mood on Saturday, Bachchan turned to
the audience at the Max Stardust awards and mused if there was anyone who’d like a kiss from him even today. Not surprisingly, most Bollywood leading ladies (including Priyanka Chopra, Vidya Balan, Parineeti Chopra, Bipasha Basu and even Farah Khan) raised their well-manicured hands. And before an embarrassed Bachchan could react, the eager women had rushed on-stage.
Bachchan then humoured them by placing a series of affectionate pecks
on each of their cheeks, all the while blushing a deep shade of crimson himself. The actresses though couldn’t quite contain their excitement, and began squealing like schoolgirls on stage. The cutest reaction from the lot was that of Anushka Sharma’s, who was positively overjoyed at the quick kiss from the living legend.
