Frozen Palace opposite Mall of America Cheers up Millions on New Year eve

Ice Castles, LLC gave Americans something to cheer about. Their original
idea was to vow the Americans on Christmas Day but they made it out only on New Year Night. Its corner stone was laid on Dec 1  outside the Mall of America which occupies an entire acre of land adjacent to the Mall of America, a mega mall in Bloomington, Minnesota.

Amazing ice palace contains multiple 'throne rooms,' each with a chair
sufficiently large for multiple people to sit in it at once! Unlike typical ice structures built with ice blocks, the Bloomington Ice Castle is made of icicles grown from 4 million gallons of water and then fused together.

Castle soars 40 feet skyward at its peak, although it is made of as many as 50 ice towers joined together to create a series of shimmering archways, tunnels, walls and caverns. At night, the castle assumes a magical look, as thousands of multicolored, LED lights arranged within its interior illuminate the ice.

The Minnesota ice castle is one of two such frozen structures created this year from more than 20,000 tons of ice. Second castle is located at the base of Steamboat Ski Resort in Colorado.
