king of Tightrope Kidogo fights homesickness with amazing acrobats

Kidogo, 12, was moved from Denmark to Germany, where his keepers
felt that Kidogo is suffering from home sickness and when the keepers tried to cheer him up by different techniques, he found pleasures in acrobats over tightrope. He, actually proved to be a king of tightrope.
Kidogo had been brought over after it was discovered that the zoo's previous male gorilla Massa was infertile, but he seemed disinterested and didn't appear to be settling well.
In attempt to cheer him up, the keepers installed a tightrope in his enclosure for him to hang from but were amazed when he climbed up and began walking on it instead.

Kidogo, a western lowland gorilla nicknamed, who has been nicknamed 'King Kodo' by his keepers shares his enclosure with two females Muna, 23 and Oya, 24.

He is already being compared to tightrope walker Nik Wallenda who this year became the first person to to walk across Niagara Falls on a high wire.

In June this year the 33-year-old American stuntman was watched by an estimated one billion TV viewers as he took 25 minutes to traverse the 1,800ft gap from Canada to the US on a 2 in-thick steel cable.

Kidogo may have a long way to go to match that feat, but his recent antics prove he is at least beginning to get used to his new surroundings and proving a hit with the ladies at the same time.
